Introduction to Prehistory:
Come learn about prehistory through timeline activities and artefact handling. Participants will have the
opportunity to create their own replicas. This fun and exciting workshop is a fantastic introduction to the
world of archaeology.
Mini Excavation:
This hands on workshop provides participants chance to experience what it is like to excavate. Participants will get the chance to excavate to find an artefact.
This workshop can be done individually or in small groups.
The tasks include an excavator and cleaner, someone who fills in the context sheets and labeller.
This provides the chance to experience what it takes to be an archaeologist and to make a meaningful
contribution to the archaeological archive.
